Au revoir Karl!

As some of our regular blog pals may remember, we met a new pal and exchange student this winter who stayed in our back yard, Karl the snowman.

Karl has finished semester classes on Arctic Studies at the University, and because the weather is, well, warming up, it's time for Karl to return home to northern Canada so he doesn't M  E  L  T (we spell that word and DO NOT say it in front of Karl).

So we're spending an afternoon playing with our pal Karl in the snow (yes, we still have snow, grumble, grumble). Karl will come back to visit us next year. Au revoir Karl!

Do you have any foreign exchange students living near you?

  2. It's negative 15 tonight and Karl thinks he might M.E.LT.? I think he's got a few more weeks before he has to go.

    1. Well, it will get over 40 degrees this weekend--that's like a sauna for a snow stuffie.

    2. So true and it's always better to be safe than sorry. I hope Karl did well at school and got good grades in his classes, especially hot chocolate making 200. I bet Jerry was willing to help taste his homework for that class.

    3. True, Jerry was a big taste-tester-helper-bear for the hot chocolate homework. Ben helped to make the actually drink since he didn't want Karl anywhere near the (hot) stove.

  4. It is beary smart of you to spell out M E L T instead of saying it. Sometimes my mom spells out H O N E Y instead of saying it. But I can read.

    See you next year Karl!

    3. Maybe you can have dual citizenship Ajdin! Ben would like dual citizenship with France, while Jerry says he would like to be a dual citizen of Honey Land, wherever that is.
