4th of July Holiday Picnic

Happy Independence Day (4th of July) to all our pals. We're celebrating America's birthday with a picnic in the garden.

We stopped at the supermarket to buy our picnic goodies and had fun looking at all the beautiful berry tarts and yummy cakes and cupcakes decorated for the 4th of July in red, white and blue. We had a beautiful sunny day for our picnic, and the sandwiches were beary delicious...Boo took a bite out of Jerry's sandwich when he wasn't looking, but that's ok, because it's a special holiday for Boo too! Do you celebrate a national holiday? What special things do you do?

    bisous

In France we celebrate on July 14. It has a nice military parade on the Champs Elysees in Paris, and a huge fireworks display under the Eiffel Tower. I see from my house that I live 12 km away!!
And some years there are picnic "citizens" everywhere and in my city too.
In general that day ... it rains !
But we do not have such pretty cakes .... are they good?

  4. We wish you also a happy 4th of July (better late than never haha). We love picnic and the cakes look very yummy! In Germany we celebrate the Unification Day at 3rd of October! And not far from the frontier we also like to visit Switzerland at their National Day 1st of August, because they have wonderful fireworks and great festivals everywhere. Greetings from our flock

I don't we have just one national holiday.
There is Queensday on april 30th, where we celebrate the birthday of the mother of our present queen.
We have Liberation day, may 5th, where we celebrate the end of WOII.

And there are some religious days (easter, ascension, whitsun,..)
