Oh... that make sense. Alright Ben, take it away. "Ok. Furst, you hav to put sum of the dry meex into the bowl" he instructs.
Ben continues "Then, you add the leekwidz, and don't forgut to follow the reeseepee carefully. I have to stand on the pancake box to meex the battur."
Ben responds "Not kwite yet Jerry, be paychent. Ok blog pals, when air hole bubblez pop up on the top and the bottum of the pancakez are browned the way you like it, you can fiip the pancakez" Ben indicates."
Ben suggests "Surve them on a plate with real maple syrup." Real maple syrup really is the best. We find it in the northern U.S. where we live because of all the maple trees, but it's also available where Little Fox lives and of course in Canada where Sandy lives..."they hav a lot of mapul treez up there!" notes Jerry.
"Hope you like my pancakez" concludes chef Ben, "what do you like to make for breakfust?"

"Did somone say pancakez???" asks Jerry, then continues "Me LUV pancackz!!! Are thay readee yet? My tummy iz grumbleeng!"

OH that looks beary yummy. Maybe next time you can try to make a bear-shaped pancake. ;)

ReplyDeleteChef Ben, I liked your breakfast and thanks for the tips on how to make the pancakes. You are always so well dressed, whenever I cook I always make a mess and could never wear anything that nice in the kitchen. I have seen that brand at the store and almost bought it simply because of the box. I hope it's good. Do you have any fresh berries to put on the pancakes?
ReplyDelete@ Little Fox, We didn't have any fresh berries when we made them, but we do like bluebeary (yes BEARY) pancakes. It would be fun to make the pancakes in the shapes of bear, fox, mouse and hamster!

ReplyDeleteThat brand of pancakes is beary good. We had a box of that mix a long time ago. My mom saved the box and used it for decor. .week. Grrr, I told her she needs to buy some more because us bears haven't had pancakes for a long time.

@ Granny K, They were indeed delicious Granny K. We would send you some, but we think the maple syrup covering the pancakes would leak in the envelope...that is if there were any left!
ReplyDelete@ Sandy, Oh, that sounds like a nice idea. Ben was nearly tempted to ask you to solve another case...one pancake was missing off his place. He wonders who might have stolen it....
@ Buttons, It is a nice brand. We're not experts in pancakes, so if you find another better brand, let us know! We think you should ask your mom to make pancakes, they are SO good.
A missing pancake?? Hmmm... let me think a bit... hmmm... I would have a look at Jerry's paws and see if he has any maple syrup stuck to them... You know, you could always add a tad of food colouring to each pancake and then Ben could have the green ones and Jerry could have the blue ones and there would be no question about who ate what!
ReplyDelete@ Sandy, Ben does suspect the other little bear who lives in our house, aka Jerry, aka Jerry the Honey Hoarder, because Ben noticed that Jerry was licking his paws, then a little later appeared to be suffering from a slight tummy ache...perhaps after having eaten a few too many pancakes. It would likely take Sandy Sherlock to solve the case though. In the meantime, Ben will guard his pancakes more closely.

ReplyDeleteOh.... and I like oatmeal for breakfast. None of that quick oats either... too mushy. Just rolled oats cooked in a bit of water with... honey!! And some nuts too... yum!
