We recently took a fun short weekend trip and discovered some fun things along the way.
First, during our drive, Jerry suddenly shouted "Stop tha kar!" He was enthusiastically pointing to something on the side of the road.
It was a GIANT hive of bees! Regular readers of our blog will understand why Jerry was so excited; he loves honey!
But when we got up closer to the hive, Jerry discovered something, "Itz made uf plastik!!" He was very disappointed, but Jerry and Ben wanted their photo taken anyway. Do you see the giant bees painted on the side of the hive?
Next, we stopped at a fun antique store to look around. "Thar waz lotz of old stuff, like Papa uzed to uze when he waz littul." giggled Ben. Papa didn't find that funny. But we did discover a beary cool old pedal car!
And the car was Hammie red! It was a great car, but perhaps just a bit too big for such little bears.
Finally, we saw this great looking sign:
Who can resist stopping to take a look at a candy store? Certainly not Jerry and Ben, so we went inside.
There was candy everywhere!
Giant lollipops!
Chocolates, gooey caramels, popcorn and caramel corn! Yummy! We didn't try everything, but we did purchase a small bag of the special caramel corn that contained peanuts, almonds and cashews. It was beary good, and it didn't last long!
The nice candystore worker helped us to check out. He was very patient because Jerry was already eating the treat before Ben could count out the money! What is your favorite kind of candy?
Whoa! That is a heck of a lot of candy! Sounds like somebody needs to sit on Jerry... did anyone else get some candy to eat??
ReplyDeleteThat is a GIANT bee hive! Probably just a well it was fake, you might have gotten stung by the giant bees.

Ahhh! Did you know sugar can sometimes satiate the urgent need of honey! Those giant suckers look like fun. One of those could could keep more than one little bear bouncing for a long time. Looks like you guys had a great time!

That's a interestingly huge bee hive! We would stop the car and go down for some photo shoot too :D
