Jerry and Ben are in Niagara Falls where they are visiting some beary BIG waterfalls. "Thar ar 2 water fallz" said Jerry!
We started our visit on the American side early in the morning. The sun was shining and the mist from the falls created a beautiful double rainbow!
"Do you zee the dubul rain bows?" said Ben; he wanted to make sure Papa took a good photo of them.
We also toured a little museum that had a nice movie on the history of the area, and some beary cool artifacts such as this colonial uniform.
After visiting the falls from the American side, it was time to walk over a bridge and visit the Canadian side. Jerry and Ben had to show their passport to a nice man who stamped it for them. The boys wondered if we would see our good friend Sandy once in Canada, but Papa explained that Sandy lived in Calgary which was a long way away in the western part of Canada, and that we would see Sandy on another visit; that made Jerry and Ben feel better.
Once on the Canadian side, Jerry spotted a big, red, double-decker bus, "juzt like the big busses that ar in Englund whar our pals Beenie, Bob and Dilly live!" said Ben.
It sure was a big bus; can you see Jerry and Ben sitting on the bus and posing for a photo ?
The Canadian falls are even more beautiful than the falls on the American side! Visitors can even take a boat ride to the face of the falls, but that gets you very, very wet, and a wet soaking bear takes a long time to dry out.
So Jerry and Ben decided that it would be better to view the falls from dry land. We got a little wet from the spray of water produced by the falls, but is was refreshing. "Do yu cee the boat at the botum of the falz? asked Ben.
Jerry helped to make a short video of the falls.
We had a beary nice stay in Niagara Falls and we loved visiting the beautiful waterfalls! Do you have any waterfalls near where you live?
Ohhh... those are BEARY big falls! And you were in Canada too but a beary, beary, long way away. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Jerry took a very nice video... just be careful around those falls, you could get swept over them and be beary water-logged bears! Mama says she was in Niagara Falls a long time ago (6 years) but didn't see any double rainbows (it was January and lots of the water was frozed). I'll have to ask Mama if there are any waterfalls here (other than the dam)...
ReplyDeleteOur nearest town is called Rhaeadr Gwy which is Welsh for Waterfalls on the River Wye. But our waterfalls are teeny tiny ones compared with Niagara Falls. I love the rainbows in your photos and my ambition is to persuade my Dad to take me to visit his family in Vermont and then go on to see the big waterfall. Dad isn't too keen on flying though - we aren't sure how he managed to get here - and it is a long way to swim across the Atlantic.

Hi guys, we don't have them near where we live, we are at sea-level. Ma and Pa went to Niagara Falls in February once in a blizzard! You could hear the roar of the falls, but couldn't see them! Brr!
