Jerry's Garden

Our pal Bob T. Bear did a beary cool video of his garden, and we got to see his cat Scooter and Daddy too! We thought we'd share some photos of Jerry's garden with our blog pals.

The poppies are currently in bloom, and they are bright orange. Jerry wears a straw garden hat to keep the sun out of his eyes and a green garden smock so that he doesn't get his clothes dirty from digging in the soil.

 Aren't the poppies BEAUTIFUL?

Ben is stalking in the garden looking for bees. He's hoping to find out where they have hidden their hive so that he can get some honey! Bears love honey!

Here is a view of just one side of the garden. Some of the flowers haven't yet bloomed, but the yellow flowers are called Sundrops.

On the side of the house Ben tends a little herb garden. There are lots of different herbs that he uses to help Papa cook. Boo sometimes runs in the garden and chases away squirrels.

Ben is checking on the strawberries. He doesn't have too many, but they are beary sweet and delicious! Do you have a garden? Do you grow flowers or vegetables and herbs too?

  7. Super-wonderful garden. Ours isn't as far forward yet but I can't wait for the big poppies to flower. Thank you for letting me see yours, and reminding me what a treat we have to look forward to!

PS Does Boo take on contract work? We have lots of squirrels we would like to lose. They ate ALL our strawberries last year.

  8. Those poppies are amazing!! I like the purple flowers too. Your garden is beautiful. Mama has an herb garden with basil, oregano, cilantro, mint and time. I'm not sure how one plants "time" or why? Ohhhh... Mama says it's spelled Thyme... it smells very strong!

I saw a bee yesterday, but it flew away too fast for my little bear legs to keep up. We have strawberries too, but they have no berries... or any flowers... yet. I have to be patient... sigh.

@ Sandy, Thanks Sandy, we don't have tyme, but we use a lot of basil, is yummy. We pick our strawberries right away, or squirrels would ge them too!

@ Buttons, poppies aren't hard to grow, they just seem to come up in the garden, we make sure they get a lot of sun.
