Working in the Garden
After a long, LONG, winter, Jerry is busy working on his garden. He enjoys planting flowers and herbs and watching them grow. He wears a special gardening shirt when he's outside; it has pockets to hold all the tools he needs to dig in the soil. He also wears a straw hat to keep the sun out of his eyes. Jerry tried to find a honey plant at the local farmers' market, but he was unsuccessful. In contrast to other gardeners, however, bees don't bother Jerry, in fact he likes them, because bees means that somewhere nearby in the neighborhood one can probably find a hive full of yummy honey. Ben helps Jerry in the garden by weeding, watering, and especially taking care of all the herbs. They sometimes grow a few vegetables too, but they have better luck with flowers, and flowers are nice to look at. Do you have a garden? What do you grow in your garden?

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we live in an apartament, so we don't have a garden. We are saving for buying a great house with a huge garden and a swimming-pool :)))

Hope you wear boots when it's muddy. We planted flowers, tomatoes, peppers, and rose bushes.
ReplyDeleteOh Jerry, you look really nice with your gardener outfit! We only have a balcony, but it`s our little green paradise. We love to plant petunias, geranias, fuchsias and nasturtium. And we have two rambling roses with a wonderful fragrance. Greetings :-)
