Do you like to travel to new places and see new things? We do. We had fun traveling in the Midwest a few months ago when we went to Wisconsin to see Door County. We heard that we might see some real bears there, but we didn't see any. Door County is a beautiful place. We saw some beautiful old lighthouses, hiked around Peninsula State Park and Bailey's Harbor, and drove through Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. We especially liked the fish bowl and the yummy fish, although we were a little afraid of the big flames that rose up from the big kettle of boiling fish.
We then took a boat ride to visit Washington island where we got to see a really neat Stave Church. It was the second Stave church that we've seen this fall. It looked just like the old churches in Norway that we saw in picture books! We especially liked the Red Cup coffee house. They have a nice porch where you can sit and sip coffee and tea (with honey!).
Another fun ferry boat ride took us to beautiful Rock Island State Park. There were no cars, hotels, or restaurants on the island, but we hiked across the island to see the cool lighthouse on the other side. We had a nice tour of the lighthouse. It was really cool. The view of Lake Michigan was spectacular. We really liked Door County. Have you ever been there? You should go visit, it's a great place to see.
I loved my visit to Door County a few years back. My mom used to go there summers when she was growing up. It's a great vacation spot.
