Hello bloggers, we're finally catching up on our blog after a beary busy Spring.
Furst, at the end of May, we FINALLY took a trip (and after complaining to the seKretaries about the lack of travel). We visited the Badlands National Park in South Dakota, a really unusual and cool place:
We thought it must look a beary lot like the surface of the moon! Anyway, it was fun to hike there and see all the weird but beautiful formations.
We also stopped to see the beary cool the Dignity statue in Chamberlin, South Dakota. We liked it beary much.
We also enjoyed a fun drive through Custer State Park...including going through this beary narrow tunnel.
We were able to see lots of buffalo grazing, and even some baby buffalo!
We had to stop and get our photo taken at this site, but we didn't visit it because we were beary hungry and needed to stop for lunch.

Another day, we drove into and saw Devil's Tower National Monument in Wyoming (must west over the South Dakota boarder a ways):
We also visited the Tatanka: Story of the Bison Museum, and saw the amazing bronze sculptures of 14 bison pursued by 3 Native Americans riders.
..and stopped for a rest to see the Chapel of the Hills stave church in Rapid City, South Dakota. We felt like we were actually in Norway, it was beautiful.
Overall, we had a beary fun trip and it was a great way to start the summer!

Awesome trip. The story of the bison museum looks cool. As does Custer State Park.
ReplyDeleteWhat....no lunch pictures?
ReplyDeleteUm, we forgot...
DeleteGreat trip!! We watched Nomadland and saw some of the places you visited! I don't know that a rattlesnake burger is anything this little bear would want to try.
ReplyDeleteWe also skipped the rattlesnake burger and tacos...
DeleteSmart bears.
DeleteThis is the reason I like to play with my mashed potatoes. :)
