Back in December, we enjoyed a beary nice, but cold, Christmas. Thanks to all our blog pals who sent us holiday cards (which the seKretaries packed away with the decorations, so now we can't find them...we'll make a note of that on our annual evaluation.
We visited some amazing houses that were all decorated for the holidays, like the two below
On Christmas Day, Santa brought us a beary special German wooden windmill-Christmas-candle thing, and it is bear themed!
Can you see the bears turning around? The heat from the candles turns the windmill.
Our January has been beary cold and snowy. Thank goodness there are places to stop for hot chocolate during our hikes. On one hike, we spotted this cool snowman and snowdog in the middle of a frozen lake (yes, the lakes all freeze over here during the winter).
We also visited the Ice Palace in Saint Paul, it's part of the annual winter carnival. This year, the palace looked like a fun Lego block castle.

There is also an ice-sculpture contest...aren't they amazing?
Finally, Ben celebrated a bearthday at the end of January.
Jerry and the seKretaries took him out for Chinese food, and he got a new cookie cookbook from Jerry... wait, .... do you think Jerry is hinting at anything?
Wow, those ice castles and sculptures are AMAZING! I'm glad to see that somebody thought to build a snowdog, so the snowman has a loyal companion :)

DeleteNutella Oreos? Seriously? You did see the news in France about the smash-up of people trying to get Nutella at bargain basement prices? I can't help but wonder if some stuffies were behind the price reduction! Beautiful ice sculptures! And Rose now has the Christmas windmill that they used back in Mama's childhood (a.k.a. the Middle Ages). They're cool!
