It was a bright and sunny afternoon when chef Ben decided that he would make some chocolate chip cookies.
"Kookies" says Ben "are beary important in the life of little bears. Itz important to alwayz hav some in the Kookie jar."
But before chef Ben starts to mix all of the cookie ingredients together, he wants to share a nice card that was in our mailbox today.
It's a beary beautiful Valentine's card from our pal Sandy. "And ther are stikurs inside the kard too!" adds Ben.
"Thanks Sandy" says Ben, "the card is great!!"
"Now" he continues, "letz bake! Furst, I need to get all the ingreedy ants together. Eggs? check. Budder? check... Chokolate chips? ... ... ..."
"Hey...wait a minute!" exclaims Ben. "Where are the chokolate chips?? The delicious Ghirardelli chips?!?"
"Hav YOU seen the chips?" asks Ben. "Me thinks this is a kase for Sherlock Sandy. Sherlock Sandy, kan you uze your deductive powurs and help me find the chips??"
Blog readers, check back to learn the solution to The Case of the Vanishing Ghirardellis.
I'm just a simple archeologist but do you think Jerry might have something to do with the missing chips?
ReplyDeleteWe may just need the help of a brave adventurer-archeologist to retrieve the chips.
ReplyDeleteI think we've seen this episode before. Either that, or every episode of missing food always ends with the same culprit :)
ReplyDeleteWell, we know the culprit can't be a pooch (dogs and chocolate don't mix). Ben is looking in to it, but a real detective would do a better job.
DeleteYes, given that dogs can't have chocolate, a canine criminalist might be the best way to go. Then, when the loot is recovered, you'll know it's safe...I think Patch has a bit of bloodhound in him, if you need a tracking dog. Or maybe enlist Sequoia?
DeleteOooh, a bloodhound is a good idea. You could partner with Sherlock Sandy (Sherlock Holmes partnered with Toby the bloodhound in the Sign of Four).
DeleteMama: Umm... I think you can kiss your chocolate chips good-bye. You may have to go to the store and settle for Chip-its. Sherlock Sandy maybe a tad tipsy judging by the amount of beer he and Little Fox have been guzzling!
ReplyDeleteBen had to send the seKretary to the store for more chips. Jerry was supposed to go to, but curiously, he had a stomach ache.
DeleteMama: Poor Jerry... possibly because his stomach is so empty?
DeleteHm, it may be. Ben hasn't made cookies in a while...he's been working hard studying French.
DeleteChip-Its don't sound nearly as good as Ghirardelli brand chips.
DeleteDust the area for pawprints!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea Ajdin. Some flour might do the trick.
