Jerry's Corner, episode 8

Hello stuffies everywhere! This is Jerry's Corner. I'm your host, Jerry. Welcome to the show!

Jerry's Corner is a talk and information show where stuffies of all kinds from around the world can get answers to their questions, receive great advice, and enjoy helpful tips, all from me, your host, Jerry! Remember, keep those questions coming! First, Ben wants to thank all the stuffies who send him nice bearthday cards: "Thankz everyone!"

Now, for today's very special show, we're on location...

That's right folks, we're in our back yard. As you can see, winter is slowly fading away here and only a little snow remains.

SOME stuffies already have flowers in their yards and are starting to plant things!! *grumble... grumble... Sandy... grumble... grumble... so unfair... grumble... grumble* But anyway, spring will be here soon and we'll be back working on the garden. Let's get right to our show!

We have a beary special guest today, a special stuffy that many of you know and love, he's been here visiting us this winter, ... can you guess who?

You guessed correctly! It's our pal Karl! Karl is an exchange student from the Yukon...that's way up north in Canada. He's been staying with us again while take classes during the winter term in the Artic Studies program at the University of Minnesota. Karl completed and just received his grades for the term (which is lucky since the temperatures are warming up and the snow is m-e-l-t-i-n-g (we have to spell that word--it's impolite to say it to Karl). "How did yoU like yur clazzez?" asks Jerry. "They were chillingly awesome!" says Karl, "I can't wait to come back again next year!" Anyway, let's see how Karl did in his studies...

Intermediate Snowflake Architecture, with Professor Flocon deNeige.  Grade:  A
Advanced Ice Fishing, with Professor Pimpton.  Grade: A
Introduction to Global Warming, with Professor Tibbles.  Grade A-

Overall, we think Karl did a great job! Unfortunately, however, it's time for Karl to go back to the Yukon to see his family and stay nice and chilled!

To make Karl's return trip more enjoyable, we're making sure he has all his books and things packed in his little suitcase, and we're adding an extra scarf for him to wear; snow stuffies always look good when wearing a colorful scarf!

And Ben made a batch of peppermint flavored snowballs so that Karl has something to munch during his trip. "Oh, they look delicious!" says Karl.

We're a bit sad to see Karl go, but he'll be back next year to take more classes in Arctic Studies and to help us build more stuffies out of snow in the yard. Bon voyage Karl!
