Peppermint candies and sticks in jars are fun holiday decorations. A little bear can even sneak one from time to time! The peppermint sticks work beary well to stir your hot chocolate!
Jerry and Ben wrapped a few presents, and then they carefully placed them under the Christmas tree.
Changed into their Christmas outfits, Jerry and Ben helped to hang the Christmas wreath on the door, and then posed for a photo with their Christmas stockings that they received last year. Ben wonders what Santa Claus will place in his stocking; Jerry hopes for a little jar of honey.
We're all ready for Christmas! What holiday traditions do you have?
We received a beary nice box of Christmas goodies from our good pal Sandy! Jerry and Ben were so excited when the nice postman delivered the box, but they had to wait until Christmas day to open it, which is a beary hard thing to do for little bears! Jerry received a nice jar of honey (to share)...how did Sandy know that Jerry LOVES honey? There were also some nice bear chocolates and gummy bears (yummy), some beeswax Christmas ornaments and votive candles, a cool bear felt bag to carry our lunch, a tiny deck of playing cards that are just the right size for little bears, a great Canada bear magnet to decorate our refrigerator, a Canadian maple leaf cookie cutter that Ben will use to make sugar cookies, and finally a special pen for writing secret coded messages! Thanks so much Sandy, we love the goodies!

ReplyDeleteTomorrow evening my little brother, Nuffin, will choose what we have for our late supper, cos he's the youngest in our family. Then we will decorate our tree before we go out to sing carols in the nearby village. We will get back really late and drink hot chocolate and wait for one minute past midnight when we are allowed to open a little gift each. After that we have to scoot off to bed before Sion Corn (Santa, to you) sees us still up and decides we are too grown up for gifts from him.
On Christmas morning we can open any gifts from Sion Corn - if we have been good little bears and he has left us some - but we must stay in our room until we are called for a beary big breakfast and can show off what presents we got.
Sion Corn has never missed me out yet and I THINK I've been good this year...

@ all, Thanks all! We have just a small Christmas Eve. We always have ham (because we have turkey at Thanksgiving) with a brown sugar and pineapple glaze, potato latkes with apple sauce, green bean casserole, and scalloped corn. The later in the evening we have "grasshopper" ice cream (made with vanilla ice cream, and creme de menthe and creme de cacao liquors (so yummy), and lots of Christmas cookies. For Christmas Day breakfast, we're having special maple oat scones, eggs and sausages, and coffee. What are you all having?
ReplyDeleteHello dear pals. We love your Christmas outfit and we are very happy about your lovely Christmas card. Many thanks :-) Chocolate and peppermint is a very delicious flavour mmmmhhh. We have potato salad and sausages for dinner and sweets and spiced wine for dessert hmmmh. This year temperatures of 14 degree are not typical for Christmas, so it seems more like in spring outside and people meet in the cafes and enjoy a sundae haha. My card to you will get into the mail later today, it wasn't ready in time to go out Christmas Eve with the rest of my cards. I had a slight way lay in production of a certain enclosure. Mom says I can open my cards later today.

I hope you had a Shöne Weihnachten. My dad teaches me Swiss German. Wow you two have an extensive wardrobe you almost surpass me in the fashion stakes. You look very cosy and warm. It must be cold with all that white stuff outside. I've never seen snow. It is very hot here and I'm lazing by the pool with Ann at the moment.
